About UNISON Bury

UNISON Bury represents over 4,000 members across the borough of Bury. The vast majority of those members work for Bury Council. Other members are based at Bury College, Holy Cross College, Six Town Housing and several other smaller organisations.

UNISON Bury branch is run by Branch Secretary, Steve Morton, with the help of a small number of full-time and part-time branch officers. These in turn are supported by around 60 voluntary stewards.

In the last 5 years the branch has handled thousands of cases including over 800 pay and grading appeals, over 1,200 equal pay claims and has supported members in numerous other legal cases.
